I was 19. Filled my wallet with strips of paper. Went to a fair. Waited to be the target of a pickpocket. He wasn’t very good. Followed him to an alley. Heard him curse. 

Tried to #rein in the vain exultation. 

Stepped out of the shadows. Grinned at him.

Now, I follow serial-killers. 

The last one reached his target's house to find the victim murdered. With his MO. 

Divine forces must have #conspired for such a prank, he must have thought.

I made sure the police caught him in the act. No pun intended.
