Cruising at 90 mph

Crazily over the limit

In that accident zone,

Challenging Whoever

In this desolate world;

The lights went off,

The side-markers too,

Weightless in a void

Creepy dread clawed in;

The milestones changed,

Each a child 5 to 12,

With hollowed eyes,

Their stares followed;

Slowed to 60 mph,

They were still there,

At 40 mph they waved;

Braked before the car

Plunged into the gorge;

Was it the highway police

With hitech visuals?

Or The One above smirking?
